Position Overview Navistar is building a new, Industry 4.0 manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas to develop leading-edge commercial vehicle solutions to meet the needs of today’s – and tomorrow’s – customers. This new facility?will have the?flexibility to build?Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar’s newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality. We are currently seeking a Supervisor Maintenance- General Assembly to join the San Antonio facility. The Supervisor will have the following duties and responsibilities: Supervise employees Managers work orders & delegates work Presence on shop floor Cross functional communications Ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the Maintenance Department Preventive Maintenance scheduling and planning Development and management of all maintenance KPI’s Downtime reporting Ensuring all metrics are met through effective management of maintenance resources and budget adherence Managing/Coaching/Developing direct reports Responsible for all decisions made regarding the maintenance of equipment and allocation of assigned resources Determine when work is outsourced or completed in house Capital project management, tracking and reporting Assist other engineering leaders in LEAN implementation Ensuring all safety process and rules are followed Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 3 years of production maintenance experience OR Master’s degree At least 1 year of production maintenance experience OR At least 5 years of production maintenance experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
