We have an immediate leadership opportunity for a Section Manager (SM) to support Surveillance RADAR Development (SRD) and Special Mission Aircraft (SMA).Explore RI& S: Raytheon Intelligence & SpaceThe Section Manager will lead the Mission Systems Integration Section supporting both SRD and SMA programs and pursuits.

This section includes: IPT Leads; Systems Engineers;and Lab Managers supporting component/box-level, subsystem-level, and platform-level integration and testing activities.

Responsibilities include:Overall management of an Engineering section comprised of 10-20 engineers including providing mentoring, career path planning, performance assessments for both technical growth and leadership/soft-skills development; also performs workforceplanning to include forecasting needs, drafting job requisitions, interviewing and hiring job candidates.Developing and managing staffing and resource plans; oversee quality of engineering work products; perform scope and cost estimation creation/support/review per proposals and EACs; perform collection, analysis, and reporting of metrics.In addition, the Section Manager will perform in an Integration and Test (I& T) IPTL Systems Engineercapacity for our Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) product line team to plan, define, document and execute integration and test of program activities; lead I&T efforts in SILs, on aircraft, ground systems, and systems of systems field testing of state of the art Multi-INT aircraft and integrated ground systems for US and International customers; will work as a test coordinator, planner, and director for the Prime integration team.

You will plan and document the integration and test plans for the entire program working with the cross-functional team and suppliers; and shall oversee implementation and execution of the final plan and lead the I& T efforts through final delivery and support of the major elements; will also maintain the program and capture plan schedules.Required Skills:Minimum 10 years of related Systems Engineering and/or System Integration experience including prior experience in a Lead role in Systems Integration for multi-mission and military aircraft programs.Experience with Cross-Functional Teams or Integrated Product Teams.Developing and verifying test plans and procedures; experience with integrating and certifying subsystems on military aircraft.Experience as test conductor responsible for leading multi-disciplined and multi-organizational test teams as well as defining, coordinating and securing testing areas, ranges, SIL’s, etc.Understanding and use of lab / field test equipment for testing and troubleshooting; experience developing and influencing test objectives collaboratively with program engineering management; experience creating integration and verification strategies to support efficiency improvement.Strong written/verbal communication skills including working with Microsoft Office Suite of Tools.Must be able to support up to 30% business travel in execution to CONUS and OCONUS sites.An active and in-scope DOD Secret US security clearance is required.Desired Skills:Influential Communications and NegotiationsProcess knowledge of IPDS and SAS Management SystemTeam Building ExperienceExperienced with Proposal Preparation and Cost EstimationExperience working with both customers and internal engineering disciplinesWorking knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and CAM Management responsibilitiesExperience developing and implementing configuration control of products and documentationKnowledge of Platform interfaces and strong experience verifying products against Interface Control Documents (ICDs).Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsRequired Education (including Major):Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM discipline – such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.180790Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
