Position Summary:

1 Prospect Technologies, LLC is seeking a qualified Program Manager who will be responsible for overall program execution as you lead cross-functional teams to exceed our customer’s expectations and present recurring program updates to internal and customer executives at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages day-to-day operations
  • Primary client’s point of contact
  • Manage all deliverables as directed by the contract
  • Identifies potential resource gaps and works with internal leadership team to address
  • Manages a team of approximately 60 team members
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, managing and disciplining employees
  • Manges subcontracts and teaming partner relationships
  • Demonstrates action-oriented leadership to overcome potential project roadblocks
  • Defines the strategy and directs supporting functions to achieve program objectives
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Collaborate with leadership team within the organization to ensure consistent messaging and tactics are being used to reach overall organizational goals;
  • Directs and oversees operational policies, objectives, and initiatives;
  • Responsible for evaluating current and proposed procedures and determining and implementing changes as necessary to Director or General Manager.
  • Responsible for periodic assessments and evaluations of program goals and objectives
  • Provides daily management and supporting General Manager for risk management of assigned programs.
  • Assists in proposal support including contract negotiations, preparation of proposal content, reviewing and developing statement of work, finalizing operational budgets, and making sure specifications are approved;
  • Define and identify additional business opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Provides strategic guidance and oversight, establishes business development goals and objectives to meet corporate financial targets;
  • Plans strategic business relationships to ensure the growth and success of the company to include forming partnerships with our clients, joint ventures, and other teaming arrangements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline; in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, ten (10)+ years of relevant experience
  • Six (6)+ years of experience in program management

Preferred:

  • PMP certification through Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Experience in Instructional Design and Training

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

  • Experience with DoD contracts
  • Previous experience working for 8a, socially and economically disadvantaged companies
  • High level of initiative and judgment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and incorporated programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, and be able to troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software required for services being provided
  • Experience managing subcontracts and subcontract performance

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working for 8a, socially and economically disadvantaged companies

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Customer Hours are Monday – Friday 0730-1630
  • Core Business Hours are Monday – Friday 0900-1500
  • Work performed in the corporate office, home office and at the customer site
  • Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the government customer
  • Moderate to significant local travel is required (not reimbursed)
  • Works under the supervision of the General Manager
