Manager, Audience Strategy

The Global Marketing team brings to life the unique promise of Hilton’s portfolio of brands by defining, creating, and delivering exceptional multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to drive business results.

What will I be doing:

The Manager, Audience Strategy reports to the Director, Audience Strategy, Customer Data, and Loyalty Execution within the Marketing and Loyalty Organization . Key activities include developing complex audience design, strategy, and execution for customer communications, which includes working with customer data, understanding and defining the parameters of the data, database structures, available models, campaign management tools, and analytical thinking.

This position will also play a key role in the planning of business campaigns to translate hypotheses and marketing objectives into optimal audience selection criteria. We are looking for a detail-obsessed, highly collaborative, results-focused, intellectually curious team member who can support ambitious goals.

What are we looking for:

A proactive, confident, balanced blend of technical and marketing acuity, plus previous experience utilizing customer data in a marketing planning, execution, or analytics role.

We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Show strong communication, negotiation, and consultation with key internal stakeholders, external partners, and service providers
  • Possess a marketing mentality with a focus on getting the right offer, to the right customer, at the right time, in the right channel
  • Demonstrate expertise knowledge of audience creation and management tools
  • Craft sophisticated, multi-channel campaigns driven by key stakeholder input
  • Proven track record of challenging the status quo, while driving efficiencies in our processes
  • Support the gathering of user requirements for campaigns and give strategic input
  • Manage the progress of projects to ensure scheduled campaigns are delivered on time while reviewing status and campaign overviews to involved partners
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance/control steps to ensure accuracy and validity of audience lists to meet campaign and audience segment requirements
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise of the relevant Hilton business and data knowledge
  • Partner with IT, data, and model development teams to drive improvements

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Four (4) years of customer communications campaign support experience
  • Two (2) years of frequent communication and consultation to business owners/partners
  • Three (3) years working experience with SQL
  • Two (2) years of experience with a Campaign management tool and experience generating/crafting sophisticated queries and/or flowcharts (i.e. Unica)

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) years of experience in Business to Customer (B2C) marketing
  • Experience with hospitality services
  • Experience with credit card or financial services products
  • Willingness to travel safely as future needs require
