– Commerce Department Dean Grad Studies & Research Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Commerce, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description SUMMARY: The Director of Graduate Enrollment Management, under general direction, oversees the recruitment, enrollment, tracking, and advisement of graduate students in all university graduate programs.

Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Graduate School staff responsible for providing direct services to prospects, applicants, and students.

Maintains and reports data.

Maintains and develops effective processes to support institutional enrollment goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Graduate School staff responsible for providing direct services to prospects, applicants, and students.

Assists in the development of, and supports, graduate enrollment management objectives.

Oversees recruitment, enrollment, tracking, and advisement operations.

Designs and monitors systematic processes which support enrollment initiatives and maintains accountability.

Coordinates correspondence and supervises efficient information flow from prospective student to enrolled student to graduate.

Represents A&M-Commerce’s graduate programs to both internal and external constituents, and other targeted audiences.

In concert with other University offices, develops and implements marketing plans, strategies, and materials aimed at enhancing recruitment and conversion of applicants.

Identifies marketing messages and ensures incorporation in presentations and publications.

Ensures compliance of graduate enrollment processes with State and System policies.

Responsible for identifying and coordinating trainings needed by Graduate School staff for effective graduate student recruitment, enrollment, tracking, and advisement.

Compiles, analyzes and utilizes university data to assist in decision-making about recruitment, enrollment, tracking and advising activities.

Evaluates existing policies and procedures, making recommendations for changes to improve office efficiency and maximize use of technology.

Oversees the handling of complex student problems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Ten (10) years of related experience Knowledge of: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
