Responsibilities for Vice President Sales and Account Management West

o Grow sales pipeline, revenue and gross margin for all automotive and cross-industry accounts in the western United States and Asia-Pacific.

o Lead team to generate exceptional new business sales across several verticals with a significant focus on automotive

o Develop a thorough understanding of prospects’ and clients’ short and long-term strategic requirements by engaging directly with their senior executives

o Deliver sold work at the expected gross margin with very high customer satisfaction

o Develop best practices to support compensation strategy, account plans, quotas and sales and account management execution

o Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Sales Support and other departments to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded

o Provide customer and market intelligence to the business in order to further develop product and solutions and strategy

o Provide feedback to Operations and Finance regarding Company strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

o Provide strategic sales direction and guidance to the executive team and senior leaders

o Serve as a thought leader and Subject Matter Expert for clients, external associations, analyst firms and more

o Lead and organize multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline–oriented environment

Qualifications include:

o Experience: A proven track record of sales success with 20+ years of B2B, creative and consultative sales leadership experience, especially within automotive

o Leadership: A progressive self-starter who thrives on building and leading high-performance sales and account teams and excels at high-level thinking and execution as well as influencing peers to achieve common goals

o Thought Leadership: External recognition as a Subject Matter Expert on emerging trends and industry practices

o Communication Skills: Above-average oral, written and visual communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multitude of individuals across the organization

o Creativity: Proven ability to think outside the box, champion important projects, programs and business initiatives with high energy and ingenuity

o Education: College degree or equivalent experience
