We came out of Stanford and Y Combinator, and are funded by Blumberg Capital, Nina Capital, and several prominent industry angels.Position Summary: Were looking for an experienced Head of Talent to help us grow the Segmed team.

Our talent acquisition has been handled internally so far, but we anticipate that our team will more than double in the next year.

Were looking for someone who can help us formalize our processes and help us build the Segmed Dream Team. An ideal candidate must understand our business and have experience in designing and implementing an effective recruitment strategy.  Your job will be to follow that plan and enable us to hire the best people available for all open positions.

To be successful in this role, youll hire senior staff (VP of Product and VP of Engineering) and later on, communicate and work closely with them, as well as with Segmeds founding team.

You will get the freedom to set up an internal hiring pipeline, select appropriate tools and techniques for handling candidate applications, screen candidates, and set us up to scale our current and future needs. In addition to hiring, this role will encompass talent management and retention strategies.

In this capacity, you will work with the founding team to refine performance review plans and career development plans for the Segmed team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Creating and implementing an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment  based on Segmeds current needsAnticipating Segmeds future needs and working with senior executives to advise on recruiting tactics that will help to sustain the companys success Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforceUnderstanding workforce planning and resource forecastingDeveloping and implementing strategies to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the businessDeveloping training for the Segmed team to ensure we are conducting interviews effectively, efficiently, and fairlyLeading full recruitment cycles, preferred past experience from a fast-paced, high-growth enterprise software companyPlanning regular employee performance reviews and feeding back to the businessMonitoring and reporting on staff turnover rates Managing and delivering reports and data when requiredRequired Qualifications:1+ years experience as a full life cycle recruiter2+ years experience as a senior talent managerDemonstrated success in recruiting Software Engineering / Product candidatesBS/BA degree preferred, or relevant practical experienceExperience in managing a team with a strong understanding of talent acquisition, management, and developmentAbility to be strategic and tactical when making decisionsExperience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse/Lever/Jobvite is a plus)Familiar with performance management and relevant softwareExperience delivering employee training programsUnderstanding of (international) labor legislation Ability to use the relevant Human Resources toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent candidate assessment skills and closing skillsEnjoy working remotelySegmed ValuesTransparency: We tell it like it is, good or badSocial Good: People firstLearning Mentality: We acknowledge what we dont know and find outIntegrity: Do the right thing even if no ones watchingAt Segmed we consider equal opportunities essential.
