Citizens: Home Mortgage Qa Qc Lead


This is a Full-time position in Irving, TX posted August 31, 2021.

DescriptionThe Home Mortgage QAQC Lead will investigate referrals from the Mortgage Wholesale and Correspondent channels to the Prefunding QA QC Team due to potential misrepresentation and/or fraud.

The Lead will assist with various daily and monthly functions to support the Originations Quality Control Group including updating and maintaining Exclusionary, Appraiser, and Reg O lists as well as Entity Mapping processes.

In addition, the Lead will perform Compliance QC activities validating defined attributes for assigned loans, manage mailboxes and perform other projects as needed.Primary responsibilities include:Qualified QC / Fraud Underwriter to ensure a thorough re-underwrite of the first mortgage loan files are completed accurately and timely.Perform in-depth research using third party tools such as LexisNexis, DataTree, CoreLogicMaintain knowledge of all industry changes, regulatory and investor requirements for the product set; train new staff accordingly with workflow of a loan review, help understand checklist, data base and how to find the product manual and policies and procedures.Manage multiple common mailboxes to access requests and complete daily tasksAssist with Compliance QC reviews including validating disclosures and notices were issued in accordance within regulatory requirementsComplete adhoc requests as neededProvide exceptional customer service in all written and verbal communication to both internal and external customers.Meet or exceed productivity levels established by Management and credit quality standards set forth by Citizens Bank.QualificationsRequired Skills/Experience:Minimum 5 years investigating and reporting fraud / mortgage operations experience with in depth knowledge of Investor guidelines; knowledge of State Agency Guidelines preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of all income types and sources, including the ability to interpret personal and business tax returns and other complex loan scenarios.Ability to review all potential misrepresentation of income/employment, credit, occupancy, liabilities, assets, etc.Sound knowledge of the consumer mortgage lending process and workflowMicrosoft Office knowledge & proficiency, ACES knowledge a plusAbility to multi-task and work independentlyExcellent oral and written communication skills and solid organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
