About the Company and Opportunity

Our client is a small non-profit in the Downtown San Antonio area with strong connections to their members and community. Providing religious housing services, meals, and numerous community and family services. They have spacious, clean, and renovated office space.

They are hiring a Bookkeeper to partner and work closely with the Executive Director in leading the financial management for their programs.

Overview of the Bookkeeper role:

  • Supervise and review the work of accounting personnel, and perform monthly and annual financial closings in a timely
  • Monthly reconciliation and adjustment
  • Oversee all AR/AP
  • Producing accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Train assigned staff on internal control procedures, accounting software and other job functions.
  • Provide finance/accounting process training throughout the organization.
  • Prepare for annual financial statement audit.
  • Work on special projects as necessary and other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications for the Bookkeeper

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Non-for-profit experience a strong plus
  • Strong previous RECENT QuickBooks experience
  • Experience with XERO Software HUGE plus
