Banquet Server (Full-Time)
This position is for a passionate individual with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to offer the best Banquet experience while engaging with our guests.

What you will be doing:
* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
* Provide service to guests attending functions.
* Assist the house team in setting up function rooms and moving banquet assets/furniture
* Properly stock all convention equipment in appropriate areas as per the hotel standards
* Interact with guests during meal periods
* Flexible shifts including early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Effectively handle guest concerns through empowerment, and report any irregularities to the shift supervisor
* Assist as server in other areas when needed
* Assist with guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
* Work alone or as part of a team to cater to the needs of our group attendees.
* Follow outlet policies, procedures, safety protocols, and service standards
* Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methods
* Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
* High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
* Previous experience as server in luxury setting required
* Wine and beverage knowledge required
* Of legal age to serve alcohol
* Food handler & TABC certifications required
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Full professional working proficiency in spoken English required, both verbal and non-verbal
* Computer literacy required for all new and ongoing training programs conducted online
* Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
* Proven ability to resolve guest concerns
* Highly responsible & reliable
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and without supervision
* Ability to multi task and work cohesively as part of a team
* Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:
* Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
* Reach 1-2 feet
* Remain in stationary position for 2 hours throughout work shift
* Constant standing and walking
* Exert physical effort in carrying items (up to 40 pounds)
* Frequent lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
* Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
