Maintenance TechnicianJob SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is a key part of the community’s success. This individual is expected to provide exceptional service to the residents along with developing a rapport by being both knowledgeable and friendly. Individual should have strong organizational and communication skills dealing with residents and staff members.Job Description* Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned* Monitor and maintain all building systems* Experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems as well as painting, drywall repairs, and general carpentry, must provide own basic tools and tool bag* Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Property Manager* Schedule and complete the “Preventative Maintenance Program”* Render assistance to management on specific maintenance projects* Assist in the monitoring of all work being performed by outside contractors* Responsible for being on-call for emergency maintenance service and lockouts* Complete ground works as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Property Manager which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas to help maintain great curb appeal. Involves outdoor work-winter and summer* Maintain an organized workshop and ensure there is an adequate inventory of maintenance parts and supplies* Compliance with all company, federal, state, and local safety guidelines* Maintain a professional and courteous manner will all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees* Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical and consistent manner* Perform other duties as assigned* Position may require heavy lifting, prolonged standing and use of laddersQualifications* Valid Driver’s License* 1-2 years of Maintenance experienceBenefits* Medical and Dental* 401(K) with employer contribution* Paid Time Off* Short & Long-Term Disability* Paid HolidaysEEO StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer.
