Job Title: MO-1 Railway Track Inspection Vehicle Operator AURORAFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDepartment: OperationsReports to: Assistant Manager, Superintendent or Assistant SuperintendentGENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:MO Railway Track Inspection Vehicle Operator is a field based position responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing company railway maintenance and inspection equipment.

Operating on an approximate 21/7 rotational schedulewith opportunities for development and additional learning opportunities.

Inthis role you may be assigned to various types of track inspectingplatforms dependent on business needs and demands.

This dynamic position willput you in the drivers seat, advancing your current technology skills and learning additional technologies, operating a hi-rail vehicle group, analyzingdata streams, working with rail authorities, and direct client contact.

This position allows for continuous education opportunitiesin inspection services with its various machine platforms.This position can operate and maintain Loram’s on track MOW equipment and/or on track vehicles OR similar equipment and machines with supervision in both operating and travel modes.

Provides accurate feedback that allows machine leadership to make maintenance decisionsAccurately records and reports common parts used to supervisor, including floor stockPerforms maintenance and repairs according to set schedules and policiesAccurately describes gauge and HMI functions as they relate to machine operationDemonstrates the ability to document and complete daily field reporting, personal expense reporting, field lodging, and other administrative reporting as necessaryBEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:Safety AwarenessValues BasedLearning on the FlyAction OrientedListeningPersonal LearningREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:3+ Months Experience working with Loram equipment/equivalent equipment/machines in a 24/7 environment.

The Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a sophisticated array of image sensing devices retrieves data from the bed of hi-rail vehicle.

The data is streamed and analyzed at our headquarters by the Data Analysis team.

This is a field based position.

Drive a hi-rail vehicle on track throughout the USA and operate and maintain the image sensing equipment and software with little to no supervision.

Monitor data flow during the data collection cycle, backup data and stream.

Troubleshoot and fix equipment, paint system and computer problems.Licenses/Certifications: Maintain Railroad Certifications PROVIDED BY LORAM, CPR/First Aid, valid Driver’s LicenseWORKING CONDITIONS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
