The candidate will joining the Americas Safety Engineering Center Of Excellence and be responsible for the technical review of submitted documentation for cabinet built and design and re-design validation; hardware design for Safety System cabinets (Safety Manager “SM” and safety Manager SC, Fail Safe Controller “FSC”, Universal Safe IO ”USIO”), and project specials (customized cabinets – Marshalling, mixed Safety systems and C300 process control structures); preparation of drawings & Bill of Materials “BOM” / Hardware design for all above cabinets which need to be serviced or modified at Customer locations, technical communication with the Project Operations (P&AS), development of standardized solutions for specials; review & support the Engineering Team in creation of modification packages “Modpack and system migrations”; estimation support in project cost calculation and preparation of quotations for service to be performed. Technical & documentation support as well as interface between the project management team and site engineering team system modification and application change status. Inspection and documentation of systems as part of the acceptance process between end-user and project implementation teams will be a major part of this position. Key Responsibilities Technical communication, coordination with the Project Managers (PM) and leads the technical review of the submitted documents related to the hardware design changes and application and configuration modification Hardware design and technical documentation preparation for the changes to be implemented to the Safety System equipment on site. Creation / implementation of technical solutions based on Honeywell’s standards. Estimation support in Design Engineering project cost calculation and preparation of proposal. Carry out the communication with team members and managing process for design execution. Attend Kick of Meetings (KOM) on all hardware and application elements. Management of consistency of all hardware drawings, application revisions and quality documents. Lead and manage drawing generation and Material ordering application change activities. Standardization of drawing templates used for construction of special cabinets, applying Modpack approach. Ensures timely submission of all contractual related documents, application for the hardware and software Primarily focal point with Project Manager on all safety System related items. Maintains up-to-date hardware overview drawings / as build documentation. Consolidate information related to power and heat calculation. Prepares specifications (BOM’s) for panels and switches and design connection drawings. Shares technical knowledge within the engineering personnel. Perform the actual site Implementation/Migration and the associated functional testing. Reports progress and technical problems to the CIC leader and ensures all system discrepancies are recorded in the system log. Support Travel to customer site/offshore location and install and test hardware modifications, migrations and expansions to existing Honeywell Safety System a. Markup and update existing drawings set b. Make drawing modifications and Issue As Built Install or Repair per Work Order Escalate Issues Provide Customer Support YOU MUST HAVE Suitable technical background with a minimum of 5 years safety system hardware experience preferably FSC and Safety Manager build and test Minimum of 5 years practical experience in Microsoft applications and AutoCAD Minimum of 5 years practical experience in preparing specifications (BOM’s) for panels, switches and design connection drawings Minimum of 5 years practical experience of modifying existing safety systems/PLC’s, updating design drawings to As Built status and testing changes WE VALUE Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft applications and AutoCAD and Honeywell ordering and Estimating Good knowledge of English language is requirement Team player FSC and Safety Manager build and test certification and experience Experience in ordering and Estimating Tools Experience of working in a Assembly Factory for Safety System builds Ability to travel will be required including international HPS202020 Additional Information JOB ID: HRD162581 Category: Customer Experience Location: 2101 CityWest Blvd,Houston,Texas,77042,United States Nonexempt Due to US export control laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.
