This is the most exciting time to be a part of design at Indeed.The Data Platforms team builds, operates, and scales Data Infrastructure, Analytic Tools, and Data Science offerings.

As part of this team, you will focus on optimizing the data experience for these products to serve all of Indeed’s product teams.

You will be responsible for generating ideas and influencing product strategy to effectively and efficiently support thousands of users across a wide range of use cases.Some of the ways you may support the team include:Collaborate with product management on ideas that will help them reach their goalsUnderstand user behavior and motivations: use qualitative and quantitative research methods to gain deep user insightsEvaluative research – assessing our existing product ecosystem with an eye for incremental improvements and refinementsGenerative research – assessing gaps in our user journey and how they engage with our offeringsDesign research studies, gather data, synthesize it into actionable insights and disseminate findings to various teams through reports and presentationsCreate research reports, user journey maps, workflows, personas, day-in-the-life scenarios, and use case summaries to help deepen organizational understanding of our usersEvangelizing research insights to a broad section of the company, including senior leadership, becoming the go-to expert for questions on user behaviorContribute to the overall vision and user interface solutions for current and future experiences from concept exploration to implementation.Work autonomously and able to prioritize effectively without losing sight of the big pictureCollaborate with other researchers, product managers, and UX designers to ensure research translates into business impact Who You Are Requirements:6+ years conducting user research for software/web based products with stories to shareExperience researching for internal tools or enterprise web-based productsFlexible approach to research: Familiarity with a variety of research methods, at all stages of the product development processExperience doing research on data presentation and visualizationExcellent story-telling abilities and facilitation skillsMentor, support, and build up others on the UX team, especially other researchers, to do the same.Have experience with remote testing tools.Ability to perform all research related tasks in the qualitative research project lifecycle: create a test plan, write a screener, recruit users, schedule users, moderate tests/ conduct in-depth interviews, create video clip highlights, top line results, create research findings summary, and effectively present and share resultsBachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred in design, psychology, business, human factors, cognitive science, computer science, human-computer interaction (HCI), related field, or equivalent experience.To be considered for this roleMust have a compelling portfolio of high-quality research work that tells an end-to-end story for Enterprise level product solutions.Our workplace: People like it here.At the core of our culture is a commitment to serving our users.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees.
