Accounts Receivable Clerk


This is a Full-time position in The Colony, TX posted July 8, 2021.

PrideStaff Financial has partnered with our client in The Colony as they look for an Accounts Receivable Clerk for their team.

This is a GREAT entry level role that is perfect for someone looking to advance their career in accounting.

This role will help with collecting payments on accounts, and applying payments.

This position will report to an Accounting Manager.


The AR Clerk will answer incoming calls and emails to take requests and answer inquiries primarily related to invoicing.

The AR Clerk will research in the accounting system to provide information and support requested by clients.

Also responsible for making outbound calls to clients and vendors when necessary.

The AR Clerk will assist in invoice submission and monitoring AR aging.

Heavy interaction with clients via email and phone Follow up on requests, issues and escalations in a timely manner to ensure satisfactory resolution.

Reference client records and invoice history.

Apply proper naming conventions to electronic documents and navigate effectively through electronic file folders and/or database structures.

Examine physical and electronic documents and other records for the purpose of coding, organizing or indexing information according to department’s procedures.

Assist in client invoice uploads to third-party invoicing platforms and monitor outstanding client work order issues.

Apply client payments and assist the accounting analyst in monitoring the accounts receivable for assigned clients.

Create, organize and maintain files in accordance with proper procedures Contact vendors to obtain invoices the company has not received.

Perform mail out projects for various clients.

Assist in locating proper addresses and make corrections for misdirected mail / email.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of A/R and office experience required Superior customer service & relationship building skills Professional verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to be organized and perform required follow up Cooperative and willing to assist others as a team Effective at problem solving and ability to “think on your feet”.

Aptitude to work in multiple systems and learn new systems quickly.

Responds well in a deadline driven, dynamic and fast paced environment.

Possesses proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

10-key proficiency Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Flexible, uses critical thinking skills and open to learning new ideas/skills.

Positive attitude and team player.
