Vulnerability Scanning Automation Consultant


This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted June 11, 2021.

· Manager is currently seeking a Vulnerability Scanning Automation Advisor to join our Security & Resiliency team.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, testing, & operationalizing secure software solutions in a global company with a focus on MSSQL databases.

The Vulnerability Management Database Automation will deliver secure automated scalable solutions focused on the vulnerability management workflow in an enterprise environment.

· Participates in the software development lifecycle, which includes research, new development, modification, security, correction of errors, reuse, re-engineering and maintenance of software solutions.

· Manages or utilizes software built and implemented as a solution, using best-in-class development process/lifecycle management (ex: Agile, DevSecOps) and manages software infrastructure as code.

· Gathers business requirements and participates in product definition and feature prioritization, including usability studies.

Enforce enterprise information assurance and security standards.

· Creates, modifies, and reviews technical and user documentation of software solutions.

· Drives idea generation for new software solutions or for the next version of an existing product.

· Responsible for the delivery of solutions within budget, schedule and quality guidelines.

Works with the team to develop, maintain, and communicate current development schedules, timelines and development status.

· Modifies software to correct errors in the original implementation and creates extensions to existing programs, adding new features or performance improvements.

Designs and develops major functional or performance enhancements for existing solutions or produces new solutions.

· Develops secure solutions and remediates security findings within code and solution.

Job Requirements:

·            5+ years of software development experience, 1+ years of information security experience.

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related technical field or equivalent professional experience.

·            Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining secure Microsoft SQL Server databases.

·            Experience with ELT processes, Splunk and Phantom.

·            Strong experience with Python and YAML programming and strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and frameworks.

·            Experience with API programming and application/tool integrations.

·            Experience with containers, PCF, and infrastructure as code.

·            Experience with GitLab or other CI/CD software development lifecycle management application and DevSecOps development methodologies.
