Staff Hardware Development Systems Engineer  Austin TX

About the Role

In this position, the Staff AI Computing Software Developer will serve as one of the leads of the organization to reimagine a proprietary, end-to-end production process control system where the backend is heavily based on Python and MongoDB platforms and the front end is based on tools such as React, Node.js, GraphQL, etc. Additionally, this person will also be one of the lead software development contributors to the organization. This is a high-visibility role in the company and the successful candidate will be expected to work across organizations to achieve results. The person will guide and mentor a highly energetic group of junior full-stack software developers, leading tasks, and providing mentorship and leadership. What You Will Do

• Be a lead for the software development team, designing our next-generation production software environment.
• Work with production and engineering to develop our future strategy
• Produce specifications, requirements, strategies, and methodologies for our new software architecture.

What you Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of designing and leading large-scale software projects
• Extensive knowledge of the software development process and corresponding technologies utilizing SDLC and Agile development
• Broad understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems and programming languages, especially Python, C++ / C#, and front-end development utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, React.js, Node.js a plus
• Knowledge of MongoDB, SQL, and Oracle database software development
• Excellent knowledge of computer architecture, networking, storage, etc.
