Network Tech – Richardson, TX

This is a Full-time position in Richardson, TX posted September 29, 2021.

This position will support facilities management, site security, and project engagement. The candidate must be motivated and self-driven for success. We are looking for a skilled Network Technician with a proven track record in the following areas

  • Racking and stacking of network devices
  • Cable patching
  • Physical layer troubleshooting
  • Equipment disposal activities
  • Installing and troubleshooting Cisco and Avaya IP phones

Standard Hours: Friday – Monday(7 pm – 7 am CST) or (8 pm to 8 am CST)

Experience and Education:

  • 5+ years of experience in data communications
  • Must have a basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches, and routers
  • Must have a basic knowledge of local and wide-area networking.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required


  • Ability to patch cables between network equipment and customer’s network
  • Install power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet
  • Install/swap out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.)
  • Install, troubleshoot, and de-install Network equipment


  • Must be proficient in utilizing technical tools such as Sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.
  • Requires experience in working in communications closets
    • Must be able to perform rack and stack activities
    • Must be able to safely lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs at times)
    • Must understand cable patching processes and procedures
  • Experience programming, installing, and troubleshooting Cisco or Avaya IP phones
