IVA Analyst with Conversational Engineering

IVA analysts work with language and user behavior, they are not expected to know programming languages or code models.

Serve as a primary point of contact on certain assignmentsduties Excellent communication and presentation skills to a wide variety of audiences An IVA analyst is responsible for the definition and refinement of the knowledge built within an IVA.

This role requires an acute understanding of business priorities and user behavior data to define the appropriate recommendations for improving the overall functionality and performance of the solution.

Candidates must possess an aptitude to learn proprietary software programs and be able to demonstrate their ability to successfully complete training and follow best practices established by Verint.

An analyst is responsible for meeting project deadlines with their deliverables as to not hold up natural language engineering tasks and other project work and communicate their project statuses to the appropriate project managers regularly.

Candidates must communicate to a wide variety of project stakeholders and present their recommendations in an organized and professional manner.

Communication to team members regarding designs and recommendations is also required.

Phase I Analysts perform the following tasks Monthly continuous improvement analysis Follow up analysis for recently added tenants Ad hoc reporting requests from Synchrony stakeholders Map designs for FAQ and simple conversation flows Recommend improvements to existing simple conversation flows Audit IVA responses during analysis Report on IVA performance metrics Report ROI projections and measure previously implemented recommendations Present all recommendations to Synchrony and Verint project stakeholders Document build tasks for natural language engineers for all approved recommendations Phase II Analysts perform the following tasks All Phase I tasks Advanced analysis assignments Complex conversation and integration map designs Recommend improvements to existing complex conversation flows Implementation of new IVA projects andor features Any additional assignments from Synchrony stakeholders Mentor Phase I analysts, ifwhen applicable Conversational Engineering Job Requirements Strong grasp on the English language, particularly with patterns of speech and sentence structures.

Excellent communication skills with an awareness of and ability to optimize natural language understanding.

Experience using other NLUNLP systems such as Siri, Alexa, Google Home, IBM Watson Conversation,, or Microsoft LUIS.

Preferred Requirements Linguistics background Experience in one of the following languages Python, Java, JavaScript, C, etc.

Has worked in an agile environment and is familiar with Agile product delivery methods Experience deploying production level code Conversational engineers build the natural language understanding that powers an IVA.

The ideal candidate will be very interested in building natural language understanding and will be directly using proprietary NLP tools to design IVAs that are smart and user friendly.

They should be comfortable learning new software and processes and working within a team of talented engineers with tight deadlines.
