Director, Bank Operations Infrastructure (Security)

Job Description:We are currently seeking a talented Director, Bank Operations Infrastructure (Security) for the San Antonio Home Office II/III.

The Director, Bank Operations Infrastructure sits on the Bank Operation IAM Security team and provides security and access management support for core Bank Infrastructure systems including Real Estate, Credit & Debit accounts, and consumer loans.

With primary ownership of the Bank’s access management process, the team also supports cyber security related audits, issues, regulatory responses, and consultation.

This team also closely partners with the Enterprise Security Group, the team supports the mission of USAA by ensuring compliance with internal and industry security standards and guidelines.

Supports assigned business production systems as well as their performance and execution.

Responsible for building out a new robust testing function to solidify systemic soundness and create an environment that is change conducive and adaptable to change.

This includes the expansion and processing of the Federal Savings Bank’s relationship banking vision and the development of system components required for processing accounts on the member level.

Supports Policy & Strategy Integration for assigned products.

Responsibilities include the implementation of approved strategies impacting functional area infrastructure.

Accommodates risk models and system designs that maximize effectiveness and minimize bank losses.

Maintains the integrity FSB global test design that runs all of our champion/challenger strategies and P&SA responsibilities covering assigned products, strategy integration and execution within that space.

Manages all technical aspects of business support within assigned systems and technology.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS or Business Administration required, OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.

8 or more years of process management and systems development experience required, to include: 5 or more years of functional area experience required.

5 or more years of process control and test design experience required.

3 or more years of direct team lead or management experience required.

Expert knowledge of numerous systems, how they interface and process implications to rolling out new/upgraded systems required.

Preferred Requirements Proven information security risk and control experience in areas including Authentication, Authorization, Access Control, Auditing, and/or cryptography frameworks for large enterprise applications.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams developing, planning, coordinating and monitoring systems security and information security risk management related process, technology and operations.

Experience interpreting and communicating complex security and privacy rules and principles to influence leadership decisions in technology and business risk mitigation.

Proven experience aligning information security compliance with regulations governing security processes, systems and frameworks (e.g.

FFIEC, NIST) Strong knowledge of, and experience with security audit requirements and processes in a financial services organization (preferably a medium to large sized bank).

Experience leading business technology operations configuration/account management teams with emphasis on industry security certifications (eg.
