Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist The Payroll Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks related to the preparation of processing the bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles.

The position is for an established financial organization handling Home Health care.

Responsibilities include ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage Workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.

Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.

Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.

Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.

Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc).

Process manual checks.

Load import files received from HR.

Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all payroll information and processing.

Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed in processing each payroll such as new hires, wage changes, overtime approval by department heads.

Handle quarterly reports Qualifications Two+ years with similar experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines 10-key and typing skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) History of good tenure Ability to work well with others in a team environment Positive attitude Why work here?
