*Full time employees are eligible to earn up to $1,000 per month (up to $500 per month for part time) based on meeting 90% of your work schedule.

You will be eligible for these bonuses upon hire.

The program runs June through October.

Assist with set-up and operate high-speed process equipment.

Operate different machines, and ensure the equipment is working efficiently and producing quality products.Day-to-Day Role:Machine Operator IFollow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirementsFollow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standardsFollow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Assist with setting-up, starting, adjusting, diagnosing, troubleshooting and properly shutting down process equipment in accordance with published production schedules and product specifications.Assist with process machinery from raw materials through downstream finished goodsPerform general preventative maintenance on equipment (i.E.

fill lube lines, lube chain rails, grease guns, etc.) as requiredMaintain production logs and reports as requiredPromptly notify the Maintenance Department of any maintenance requiredNotify supervisor of significant deviations from normal operating conditionsPerform back-up Inspector Packer responsibilities during break and lunch periodsPerform production process in SAP as required Machine Operator IIFollow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirementsFollow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standardsFollow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Set up, start, adjust, test, calibrate, operate, diagnose, troubleshoot and properly shut down process equipment in accordance with published production schedules and product specifications.Set up and operate computer-controlled machines or robots to control one or more machine functionsOperate and monitor process machinery from raw materials through downstream finished goods, ensuring quality and consistencyAdjust equipment as needed to maximize up time, rates and yieldsMonitor equipment for mechanical problems by listening for unusual noises and visually checking gears, hoses, gauges, materials, etc.Troubleshoot and fix equipment and/or material problemsDiagnose and change out defective partsUse advanced measuring equipment such as micrometers, scales, scannersImplement programs to standardize and minimize production changeovers and machine downtimePerform general preventative maintenance on equipment (i.E.

fill lube lines, lube chain rails, grease guns, etc.)Maintain production logs and reports as requiredPromptly notify the Maintenance Department of any maintenance requiredNotify supervisor of significant deviations from normal operating conditionsPerform back-up Inspector Packer responsibilities during break and lunch periodsTrain other Machine Operators as requiredPerform production process in SAP as required Core Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:Machine Operator IMath skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionFamiliar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versaBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceAbility to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace proceduresDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issuesPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Experience working in a manufacturing environmentSix (6) months material handling or machine operations experienceTechnical school or apprenticeship experiencePrevious powered industrial truck experience Machine Operator IITwo (2) year experience operating manufacturing and process control equipment or equivalent technical school or apprentice experiencePrevious plant production software experience required; SAP experience preferredMath skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionFamiliar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versaMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceAbility to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace proceduresDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issuesPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Previous powered industrial truck experiencePaper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experience Overview: As the manufacturer of Dart® and Solo® brand products, Dart Container is an industry leading single-use food and beverage packaging company.
