This is a Full-time position in Highland Park, TX posted June 8, 2021.

Financial Additions has partnered with a great company in their search for a Controller. This is a rapidly expanding real estate company with incredible benefits and growth potential. This position is open due to a promotion.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledgers for various partnerships and trusts with multiple holdings including real estate, private operating businesses, marketable securities, hedge funds, and private equities
  • Ensure books and records are kept in accordance with required accounting standards
  • Cash management functions including overseeing monthly cash close (and associated closing entries) and reviewing of bank reconciliations
  • Supervise the capital call and distribution process
  • Assist in compiling quarterly shared services invoices and allocating overhead using approved methodologies
  • Prepare tax packages for outside tax firms and annual audit workpapers where necessary
  • Assist the team in incorporating various automation initiatives and special projects as needed
  • Maintenance of information in primary accounting systems (i.e.-Concur & Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Work with complex accounting structures and hierarchies
  • Reconcile contributions/distributions to monthly capital account statements/year end K1s


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA
  • 5+ years industry or public accounting experience
  • Previous experience and knowledge of partnership accounting (GAAP knowledge a plus)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel, Teams, & PowerPoint
  • Clear experience of having implemented or leveraged technology to improve efficiency and / or effectiveness
